A Bit About Biting

Biting is a problem often seen in many groups of young children. These situations are stress-ful to teachers, administrators, parents and children. Why do children bite? How can chil-dren be helped to understand and learn pro-social interactions? What is the proper way to handle a biting incident? In addition to getting answers to these questions, you will learn how to create and implement a biting policy; how to properly document a biting event; biting preven-tion steps; and how to successfully communi-cate this delicate issue to parents. Together we will explore how to take the "ouch" our of biting behaviors!
