The North Carolina 2018 legislative session ended on June 29, 2018. Legislators will return to Raleigh after Thanksgiving on November 27th for a post-election session; the Long Session will start at the end of January 2019.
In the meantime, take advantage of the time state legislators are at home in your communities and thank them for the positive things they did to improve early childhood education! Continue to educate them on the issues that still need their attention including the huge child care subsidy waiting list, early childhood teacher education, standards and compensation, and Pre-K expansion challenges.
