The NC Early Education Coalition is hiring an Early Childhood Policy Specialist. The Early Childhood Policy Specialist will work directly with the Coalition’s Board of Directors and staff to advance policies, programs and funding to support young children’s healthy development and early learning through high-quality early care and education. Key responsibilities include policy development and promotion through community engagement, education and advocacy efforts with policymakers and early childhood stakeholders.

The ideal candidate for this position will bring a passion for early education and the wellbeing of our state’s young children and their families. This position requires at least a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or related field (Master’s Degree preferred), and a minimum of four years of experience working on early childhood education issues, research, public policy, and advocacy with federal and/or state policymakers and early childhood stakeholders.
