We’re excited to announce that we’ve created a new senior level position – Early Childhood Policy Director – to increase our capacity to serve as the state’s lead advocacy organization for early childhood issues.

The Early Childhood Policy Director will work with our Board, staff and early childhood partners to develop the Coalition’s early childhood policy agenda and ensure that all North Carolina’s young children have equitable opportunities for high-quality, affordable early childhood education. The Early Childhood Policy Director also works collaboratively with the Think Babies™ NC Alliance to support the advancement of public policies that support young children’s healthy beginnings, supported families and early learning. Key responsibilities will include policy development and promotion through education and advocacy efforts with federal and state policymakers, collaborative relationships with early childhood stakeholders, community engagement, and advocacy campaigns.

This position is new and applications will continue to be accepted until it is filled. The ideal candidate for this position will bring a passion for early education and the wellbeing of our state’s young children and their families. This position requires a Master’s degree, at least 4 years of experience and a successful track record in leading the development of early childhood policy and advocacy efforts at the state or national level.
